ABOUT US - BONNIE MISHA SLEEP
Bonnie is the writer and co-inventor of the storylines & characters in the Sasha & Friends Series and the two companion Series – Peek a Boo with Petal and Surfer Joe & Little Henry. Illustrator Hayden has been drawing Sasha all his life, so together she and Hayden have given her a voice.
Bonnie loves the Great Barrier Reef and all its creatures and is dedicated to sharing stories that showcase the region globally and help raise awareness about vital conservation issues – like protecting baby hatchling turtles and understanding that huge Killer Whales or Orcas, are really just giant dolphins.
Bonnie has written the three distinct series to suit different ages but with the same creatures, so a young reader can grow alongside the creatures they love.
As an educational professional, Bonnie is careful to create a balance of fantastical and educational so adventure is also about learning. There are many emotional and morally challenging moments, which children can relate to, but there is always a happy resolution, usually with a twist of humour.
ABOUT US – HAYDEN JAMES BONE
Hayden is the illustrator of all the characters in the Sasha & Friends Series as well as many other collections Bonnie and Hayden are working on. Hayden is also a professional artist and has been painting for over twenty years with many works found in private collections all around the world.
When Hayden is not painting, he loves to create new illustrations with more adventures and fun for Sasha and her friends.
The environment is also very important to Hayden as well, and together with Bonnie, they are trying to create more awareness for the beautiful creatures that live among us so that they can have a happier life now and into the many futures to come and our future children can enjoy them all as we have been able to.
